An industrial disaster in Other World has unleashed a gargantuan monster and the Z fighters are taking action Janemba's arrival has thrown the dimensions into turmoil, leaving the door between worlds gaping open, and the dead are rising from their graves. With the manga telling a more traditional storyline now free to move at its own pace, movies in place of an anime makes sense (for now at least). While Super Hero is still quite a ways away, the fact another movie was announced in lieu of simply continuing the Dragon Ball Super anime might mark a change of direction for the franchise. The antagonists in the series proper are all better than Toei’s original villains, but the movies reinterpret Dragon Ball just enough to keep its baddies fresh.Įdited on Augby Renan Fontes: Dragon Ball is going through something of a cinematic renaissance.
